In the mid-1980s, Sam Edelmann of the Pittsburgh Seltzer Works put out a small brochure of seltzer drink recipes for his customers. It included classic seltzer recipes drawn from 19th century soda fountain manuals, including this cool drink.
Very Berry Ade
- Put one ounce of raspberry or strawberry syrup in a glass.
- Add the juice of one-quarter lemon and two or three crushed ice cubes.
- Fill glass with seltzer.
- Stir once and serve.
